Please join us for an interactive and collaborative event, where we will explore the nature of complexity and complex adaptive systems.
We will be joined by researchers and practitioners from our community and beyond, who will help us to unravel questions such as:
- How do the simplest aspects of complexity influence our everyday lives? For example, phenomena like non-linearity, emergence, and connectedness.
- What are the characteristics of healthy complex adaptive systems, e.g. diversity, connectivity and responsiveness, and how do anxiety and power distance adversely influence them?
- What might a model for social change look like when combined with adaptive leadership?
- When looking at some of our most critical global systems, such as food procurement, what lessons can be learned from the complexity perspective, and how may this help improve their sustainability and resilience?
We will facilitate this event using various formats, such as interviews, exercises, interactive workshops, site visits, etc.
We look forward to welcoming you to Oxford and appreciate your potential contribution to co-creating this event.
